# Lab #5: Install the Moveworks Update Sets

## 🛠️ 1: Walkthrough

1. Download the `moveworks.base` and `moveworks.acl` update sets from the [Moveworks docs site](https://docs.moveworks.com/service-management/access-requirements/update-set-modules/servicenow-update-sets).

2. In ServiceNow, navigate to the **Retrieved Update Sets** page.

3. Click **Import Update Set from XML** at the bottom of the page.

4. Upload each update set you downloaded in step 1.

5. **Preview** and **Commit** each update set to activate it in your instance.

   > **Warning**
   >
   > **Commit the base update set (`moveworks.base`) before any of the others.** The remaining update sets depend on it, and committing them out of order causes errors.

6. Confirm that all required update sets are installed.

   > **Note**
   >
   > The core labs need only `moveworks.base` and `moveworks.acl`. The [Optional Lab: Live Agent Handoff](/ai-assistant/getting-started/labs/moveworks-setup/optional-live-agent-handoff) needs separate Live Agent update sets; your ILT host provides those.

7. Navigate to **User Administration > Users** and open the `machine_admin` integration account.

8. Add the `moveworks_user` role and click **Save**.

1. **Finalize:**
   * All update sets show as **Committed**
   * The `machine_admin` integration account has the `moveworks_user` role
