# What developers do I need?

If you want to build on our Agentic AI platform, you'll need developers, but don't worry, **you won't need machine learning teams, conversation engineers, data scientists, or prompt engineers**. Just the application / system engineers that you already have.

They should have the following skills.

* Ability to build [experience APIs](https://blogs.mulesoft.com/api-integration/strategy/experience-api-ownership/). This includes
  * Using REST APIs
  * Data Aggregation
  * String Formatting
* Strong understanding of integration patterns and best practices
* Strong understanding of your organization’s change management & security policies
* Strong understanding of your organization’s system configurations & API management practices
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
