What is data masking

Data masking, also known as anonymization, modifies sensitive data to make it unreadable to the end users. Moveworks supports data masking in copilot insights interactions and feedback tables. Once enabled, the data is not visible in the web app or the CSV export. The column’s filter is also removed from the dashboards if the data redaction is enabled.

Key highlights

• The data is redacted for all types of users, even for super admins. No users can access the redacted columns through the UI or the CSV download.
• The data redaction gets applied to all interactions, including button and link clicks. It is applied across all domains, and conditional data masking is not supported.
• The data masking is only applied on the copilot insights dashboard and CSV export. The data will still be accessible through data API beta1 version.
