How to create a custom software entity

1. Navigate to Moveworks Setup > Core Platform section > Entity Catalog screen
2. Click on Create New button
3. Input all the required config fields
   1. Title (Not editable once created) (E.g. Zoom)
   2. Short Description (E.g. Zoom unifies cloud video conferencing, simple online meetings, and cross platform group chat into one easy-to-use platform.)
   3. Entity Type (Selected by default and not editable)
   4. Entity Aliases and their respective matching logic (E.g. zoom as fuzzy, zoom video as exact, zoom pro as fuzzy)
   5. Negative Aliases (E.g. loom, moom, room, and more)
4. Click on Submit button

How to override a global software entity

1. Navigate to Moveworks Setup → Core Platform → Entity Catalog.

   

2. Click on the Global Entities tab.

   

3. Select the entity and click Override Settings.

   

4. Update the required entity configuration fields:

   • Description:  Modify the entity description based on your organization’s terminology or usage
   • Entity Aliases and Matching Logic:  Add organization-specific aliases and configure their matching behavior. For e.g. figjam as fuzzy, figma design tool as exact.
   • Negative Aliases:  Add terms that should not be matched to the entity. E.g. sigma

5. Click Submit to save the override configuration.

How to update Description

1. Navigate to Moveworks Setup > Core Platform section > Entity Catalog screen
2. Select the Entity whose description you want to modify
3. Edit the Description for the Entity
4. Click on Submit button

How to add Aliases

1. Navigate to Moveworks Setup > Core Platform section > Entity Catalog screen
2. Select the Entity for which you want to add aliases
3. Click on Add Another Aliases and configure their matching logic
4. Click on Submit button

How to modify Aliases

1. Navigate to Moveworks Setup > Core Platform section > Entity Catalog screen
2. Select the Entity whose Aliases you want to modify
3. Click on Aliases field and Modify it
4. Click on Submit button

How to delete Aliases

1. Navigate to Moveworks Setup > Core Platform section > Entity Catalog screen
2. Select the Entity whose Aliases you want to delete
3. Click on the Delete button
4. Click on Submit button

How to update Matching Logic

1. Navigate to Moveworks Setup > Core Platform section > Entity Catalog screen
2. Select the Entity whose Aliases you want to modify
3. Click on the Matching Logic dropdown and Select your preferred option
4. Click on Submit button

How to add Negative Aliases

1. Navigate to Moveworks Setup > Core Platform section > Entity Catalog screen
2. Select the Entity for which you want to add Negative Aliases
3. Click on Add Another Alias
4. Click on Submit button

How to modify Negative Aliases

1. Navigate to Moveworks Setup > Core Platform section > Entity Catalog screen
2. Select the Entity whose Negative Aliases you want to modify
3. Click on Aliases field and Modify it
4. Click on Submit button

How to delete Negative Aliases

1. Navigate to Moveworks Setup > Core Platform section > Entity Catalog screen
2. Select the Entity whose Negative Aliases you want to delete
3. Click on the Delete button
4. Click on Submit button
